World Materials Forum well represented at the Renault Symposium on Operational Excellence
On December 8th in Paris, four partners and speakers of World Materials Forum brought their insights and expertise to the Roundtable "Innovation and Operational Excellence". Prof. Victoire de Margerie, Vice Chairman World Materials Forum, debated with Dr Christian Collette, Chief Technology Officer of Arkema, Thierry Merlot, Executive Vice President Europe of Hexcel Group and Dr Didier Roux, Chief Technology Officer of Saint Gobain about the lessons learnt from the Materials Industry experience in order to speed up innovation at lower cost and higher value.
Prof. Victoire de Margerie states: "Innovation is not easy in the materials industry as we face high capital intensity and long periods of technology and market uncertainties until we can prove positive impact of our innovations. This has forced us to be creative into developing all types of partnerships in order to share risks and costs while building on complementary skills and expertises. World Materials Forum is a great example of such partnership between materials industry actors all along the value chain."
